Gas Compression

ABM Combustion has extensive experience designing high performance gas compression systems to provide the best gas compressors for each unique site.

Gas pressure usually needs to be boosted from source, using a fan or a blower to ensure it flows through to the piping, control equipment and flare at a sufficient rate. A flow and gas specific knockout pot is installed upstream of the blower to prevent it being damaged by water which may condense in the pipework.

Additional safety mechanisms are installed including shut-off valves and flame arrestors to prevent the flame burning back up the system.

A typical gas handling system for an enclosed flare also has a control system on the combustion air, which maintains the combustion systems temperature.

Each project is unique and ABM Combustion are experienced gas compression manufacturers, so will design the most appropriate gas handling system for the type of gas and its intended use.
